Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships Scheme announced by University of Sydney for International Students to study in Australia. International Students are welcome to apply for the International Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships Scheme 2023. The scholarship allows students to enrol in Bachelor’s and Master’s level programmes in any subjects offered at the University of Sydney. The scholarship must be applied for by March 1, 2023.

The VCIS is a scholarship that is available once coursework for a degree has begun (it is only awarded once during the first year of commencement and not renewable for following years)

A partially financed scholarship (up to $40,000) is available through the Vice-International Chancellor’s Scholarships Scheme 2023 for the University of Sydney bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes. Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships Scheme Benefits:

Based on how you perform relative to the selection criteria, you are eligible for one of four scholarship amounts:

  • $10,000 payable for one semester,
  • $20,000 payable for one semester,
  • and $40,000 payable for one year in two equal payments per semester.
  • Payable for one semester at $5,000

Certain cohorts may be the only ones eligible for certain sums.

Requirements Criteria for Scholarship:

Student must:

  • be an international student
  • have applied for but not yet commenced a bachelor’s degree or a coursework master’s degree that is a CRICOS registered award program usually delivered onshore at the University of Sydney
  • receive an unconditional offer of admission by the relevant close date.

How to Apply for Scholarship:

No application is required, as all eligible students who have secured an unconditional offer of admission by the following dates, will be automatically considered:

Semester 2, 2023 Close date
Round 1 1 March 2023
Round 2 14 April 2023
Round 3 19 June 2023

The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.
