Eligibility of PhD Stipend Opportunities 

Eligible Countries: We welcome applications from candidates of any nationality.

Acceptable Fields of Study: The fellowship is open for PhD research in any area of chemistry, whether experimental or theoretical. This includes a wide range of specializations such as organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, nanochemistry, materials chemistry, food chemistry, chemical biology, quantum chemistry, sustainable chemistry, environmental chemistry, and analytical chemistry.

Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible, applicants must have:

  • A Master’s degree in chemistry or a related field for the 3-year PhD program, or
  • A Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field for the integrated MSc and PhD program, which can last up to 5 years.

Candidates should also have excellent academic performance and strong skills in the English language. Additionally, applicants need to submit a well-prepared research proposal that fits within the chemistry themes offered at the Faculty of Science. Lastly, a confirmation letter from a potential supervisor in one of the relevant departments is required.

How to Apply

To apply, candidates need to complete an online application and provide the following documents:

  1. A cover letter explaining why they want to pursue a PhD.
  2. A short research proposal focused on topics in chemistry (maximum 5500 characters).
  3. A curriculum vitae (CV) includes their academic history, research experience, and language skills.
  4. Certified copies of their transcripts and degrees (BSc/MSc) and English translations if necessary.
  5. A list of any publications they have (if they have any).
  6. Reference letters (if available).
  7. A letter from a potential supervisor in an eligible department confirms their support.
