Otsuka-Toshimi Scholarships Benefits

The four winners selected by Tokushima University will be awarded funding for a period of 1 year of 1,000,000 yen, 1,500,000 yen or 2,000,000 yen / Year.

Requirements Criteria for Scholarship:

To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:

  • The applicants must be under 38 years old or younger as of April 1, 2023. 
  • The applicants must hold the VISA status of “Student.”
  • The applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program at Tokushima University. 

How to Apply for Scholarship:

  • Online admission applications must be submitted. To apply for the opportunity, interested students must refer to the scholarship guide
  • The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
    • Letters or recommendation 
    • Certificate of Student Registration (Original one issued after September 30, 2022)
    • Official Transcript 
    • Certificate of Residence (Original one issued after September 30, 2022) 
    • Photocopy of the Scholarship Certificate if you have received any award in FY 202
  • The applicants must meet the program-specific requirements of the university. 
  • The university has deemed it necessary that competence in the Japanese language be attained before admission.
