EPSRC DTP PhD Scholarship announced by Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) DTP for International students to study in United Kingdom. The scholarship allows PhD level programm(s) in the field(s) of Computer Science taught at Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) DTP. The last date of applying for this scholarship is 14 October 2022 and scholarship provide full cost of tuition fees and an annual stipend of £16,062 to successful candidates.

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) DTP provide a golden chance to International students to complete their studies in the field(s) of Computer Science at United Kingdom on scholarship.

EPSRC DTP PhD Scholarship in Computer Science (VISUALISATION): Dynamic data sets where each element of the data has its own individual timestamp have become more prevalent.  Algorithms for drawing temporal networks within the space-time cube (2D + t) have been devised to allow dynamic graphs to be visualized in an event-based way. However, three-dimensional representations of non-spatial information are challenging to navigate. Therefore, interactive systems must fully understand the graph structure and how it evolves over time.

The student will investigate perceptually effective ways of dividing and visualizing the space-time cube. The project will start by visualizing the contents of this space-time cube with an embedded network drawn with an event-based dynamic graph drawing algorithm. The visualization methods in this case will focus on visualizing the already present structure within the drawing which takes into account both spatial position and time simultaneously. Then, we will explore methods that are able to draw the dynamic graph on demand in the space-time cube steered by the user.
