To support the education of international students in the USA, Musicians Institute has established the Schecter Nick Johnston Guitar Scholarships. The scholarship application is ongoing for the academic year 2022-2023.
The scholarship will be awarded in Fall 2022 to an intermediate or advanced student in the Associate of Arts or Bachelor of Music in Performance (Guitar) program who demonstrates overall outstanding musicianship, their unique creative voice, and passion for the instrument in the Progressive Rock genre.
Musicians Institute is a private for-profit music school in Los Angeles, California. MI students can earn Certificates and – with the transfer of coursework taken at Los Angeles City College – Associate of Arts Degrees, as well as Bachelor of Music Degrees in either Performance or Composition.
