The Chinese Government Scholarship Program for 2024-25 encompasses a wide range of academic disciplines at designated Chinese Universities. These include, but are not limited to Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Economics, Legal Studies, Management, Education, History, Literature, Philosophy, and Fine Arts. The scholarship caters to Undergraduate/Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral/PhD programs, incorporating preparatory Chinese language studies in certain degree programs.
- Undergraduate students: 4-5 years (including 1-2 years of preparatory Chinese language study)
- Masters students: 2-3 years (including 1-2 years of preparatory Chinese language study)
- Doctoral students: 3-4 years (including 1-2 years of preparatory Chinese language study)
To be eligible for this distinguished scholarship, applicants must meet specific criteria:
- Nationality: Limited to Pakistani/AJ&K nationals; dual nationality holders are ineligible.
- Health: Applicants must be in good health.
- Age: Criteria vary based on the program level—Undergraduate (under 25), Masters (under 35), and PhD (under 40).
- Educational Background: Varied educational qualifications for each level, ranging from 12 to 18 years of education.
- Other Requirements: Applicants must meet the application and admission requirements of the applied universities, provide HAT or USAT test scores, and should not be in receipt of any other scholarships.
The scholarship offers comprehensive financial coverage, including:
- Tuition Funds
- Accommodation: Free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy
- Stipend: Monthly stipends vary for Undergraduate, Masters, and PhD students
- Travel Expenditure: To be borne by the scholarship winners
The application process involves several crucial steps:
- HEC Portal Application: Complete and submit the online application on the HEC portal (scholarship.hec.gov.pk) before the deadline: Thursday, December 28, 2023 (23:59 PM Pakistan Standard Time).
- Profile Update: Ensure your HEC profile is updated with the latest contact information.
- CSC Web Portal Application: Apply online at the CSC web portal (Campuschina.org or csc.edu.cn) through program Type: A and Agency No. 5861.
- Document Retention: Download and retain the submitted copy of the complete application form from the CSC portal.
Note: Submission of online applications at both CSC and HEC portals is mandatory.
At this stage, perspective applicants are not required to submit any hard copies. Shortlisted candidates will need to provide a set of documents, including:
- Copy of signed application form of HEC
- Attested copies of educational documents, CNIC/B-form, Domicile, IBCC equivalency certificate, and HEC equivalency if applicable
- Study Plan or Research Proposal
- Language proficiency certificate or IELTS/TOEFL/HSK score
- Photocopy of the Physical Examination Record
- Non-criminal Record (Police Clearance Certificate)
- Two letters of recommendation for graduate program applicants
- NOC from the employer (if employed)
- Legal guardian documents for applicants under 18
- Ensure accurate contact information in the application system.
- Submit clear, authentic, and valid scan copies of each document on both portals.
- Any false information may result in the cancellation of the application.
